Summary: The Programme Planner role involves supporting clients in articulating their programme needs and translating them into deliverable outputs within Engineering Services. The candidate will lead complex programmes, ensuring high-quality project delivery while establishing best practices in programme management tools like Microsoft Project and Primavera P6. Responsibilities include scenario planning, data analysis, and facilitating workshops to enhance project outcomes. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills to manage various complex issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support clients in articulating their programme needs and translating them into deliverable outputs.
• Lead complex programmes, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective project delivery.
• Establish structured governance, stakeholder engagement, and communication planning.
• Combine different project and programme workstreams into a master programme.
• Act as the best practice lead for Microsoft Project within Engineering Services.
• Design template programmes and establish common standard working practices.
• Audit programme usage and develop new templates based on lessons learned.
• Conduct scenario planning and issue resolution.
• Analyze programme data and capture performance trends.
• Facilitate workshops for project and programme management.
• Deliver Primavera P6 training to the Project & Programme Management team.

Key Skills:

• Experience with planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta, and MSP.
• Understanding of NEC Contracts clauses and principles.
• Recent experience managing programmes of work.
• Strong communication skills for influencing and decision-making.
• Excellent personal organization and project management skills.
• Ability to generate solutions to complex problems.
• Detailed knowledge of technical software related to NEC contracts and construction processes.
