Summary: The role of Network IT Project Manager involves overseeing network-focused projects within a large transformational program for a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will manage LAN and WAN infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery while collaborating with various stakeholders. This position requires a strong background in project management methodologies, particularly waterfall, and a focus on network technologies. The role is hybrid, allowing for both remote and on-site work in the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans for network infrastructure projects, including LAN and WAN technologies.
  • Utilize waterfall methodology to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead projects related to network upgrades, expansions, and implementations.
  • Manage deployment and configuration of network devices, ensuring network security best practices.
  • Effectively communicate with and manage multiple stakeholders, conducting regular project meetings.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure adherence to governance requirements.
  • Coordinate change management activities and contribute to the overall success of the transformational program.
  • Experience with SCADA networks is desirable but not essential.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in managing technical projects related to IT networks, focusing on LAN and WAN technologies.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and protocols.
  • Proficiency in waterfall project management methodology, ideally with MS Project.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with dependency mapping and change management.
  • Experience with document management for audit and project governance.
  • Experience working within large transformation programmes.
  • Experience with SCADA networks is a significant advantage.
