Summary: The Programme Manager role focuses on overseeing the Entry into Service (EIS) process for rail infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory approvals from the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) and Network Rail. The position requires effective stakeholder management and coordination to facilitate operational readiness for rail services. The role is critical for managing risks and providing updates to the Programme Sponsor throughout the project lifecycle. This is a full-time placement lasting 9-12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the regulatory approval process for Entry into Service (EIS).
- Work closely with Network Rail, the ORR, and Train Operating Companies (TOCs) to ensure operational readiness.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and dependencies for the EIS programme.
- Identify and mitigate risks impacting project timelines or regulatory approvals.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Programme Sponsor.
- Ensure compliance, safety, and operational requirements are met for station openings.
