Summary: As a Programme Manager, you will oversee the delivery of a fibre upgrade programme in a designated region, ensuring that targets and milestones are met in collaboration with delivery partners. The role requires extensive experience in managing large-scale fibre and civils build rollout programmes. You will be responsible for developing and managing project delivery plans while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards in the telecoms industry. This position offers a hybrid working environment in Motherwell, Scotland, on a contract basis for 26 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall delivery of the fibre upgrade programme end to end.
- Ensure an agreed programme plan is in place with delivery partners.
- Manage key deliverables and milestones throughout the programme.
- Develop and manage project delivery plans for large-scale telecom-related programmes.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of end-to-end fibre networks and FTTx networks.
- Work with local authorities and demonstrate technical understanding of telecom technologies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the telecoms industry.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in telecom fixed networks.
- Over 3 years of experience managing large-scale fibre and civils build rollout programmes.
- Proven record in developing project delivery plans.
- Excellent knowledge of end-to-end fibre networks.
- Good knowledge of FTTx networks and fibre design principles.
- Experience working with local authorities.
- Technical understanding of supporting telecom technologies.
- Background in health and safety compliance within the telecoms industry.
Salary (Rate): £580.00 daily

About the role
As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the fibre upgrade programme end to end in a designated region to the agreed targets and release of the homes passed. Ensuring there is an agreed programme plan in place with the delivery partners to meet the programme requirement with key deliverables and milestones agreed, set, and managed.

Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)
The must haves:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a telecom fixed network.
- Over 3 years of experience managing large scale fibre and civils build roll out programmes working with external civils and fibre filed partners.
- Proven record on developing and managing project delivery plans for large scale roll out telecom related programmes
- Excellent knowledge of end-to-end fibre networks.
- Good knowledge of FTTx networks and fibre design principles desirable
- Experience and knowledge of working with local authorities
- Demonstrate a technical understanding of supporting telecom technologies
- A background in all applications of field Health & Safety and delivery compliance within the telecoms industry.
