Static Stress Engineer

Paying up to 50p/h DOE (Umbrella)

ARM has partnered with a large Aerospace client who is looking for an experienced Static Stress Engineer to work out of their site in Bristol. As the Static Stress Engineer, you'll be responsible for the analysis and validation of metallic and composite structures for static strength to support structural repairs according to validated methods

Responsibilities:
* Ensuring adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guideline
* Provide stress analysis and signatory support to sub-contractor generated structural analysis work; mainly repair procedures and justification documentation
* Checking of repair documentation delivered from subcontractors
* Analysis and validation of metallic and composite structures for static strength to support structural repairs according to validated methods.
* In conjunction with the Repair Design and F&DT Engineers, be a member of an integrated engineering team, ensuring its strategy, policy and direction is maintained

Experience required:
* Must have held delegated repair stress signature for SA and LR aircraft, for SAS and TD
* Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal to all levels of the organization, set objectives and prioritize to time, cost, and quality
* Hold or have previously held Stress approval signature for TD and SAS for metallic or composite structure
* Static analysis of aircraft structures using a range of hand and computer methods
* Ability to liaise/negotiate with Design, Customer Services and suppliers
* Ability to demonstrate excellent PC skills
