Summary: The Product Manager for Embedded Payments will lead the development of payment products utilizing APIs, H2H integrations, and SWIFT within a banking and payments context. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure regulatory compliance while driving product strategy and commercialization efforts. The position is based in London and offers a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will have a strong background in product management within the payments or fintech sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and ongoing evolution of embedded payment products across API, H2H, and SWIFT channels
- Define and execute product strategy and roadmap focused on client outcomes and revenue growth
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to build integration-friendly, scalable payment solutions
- Partner with risk, compliance, and legal to embed regulatory controls into product design
- Own commercialisation efforts including pricing, P&L management, and go-to-market strategy
- Incorporate client feedback and market insights into product improvements
- Manage the full product lifecycle from launch through growth and optimization
- Support sales and client services with product expertise and enablement materials
Key Skills:
- 4-8 years of product management experience in payments, banking, or fintech
- Deep understanding of payment infrastructure including APIs, H2H file transfers, and SWIFT/ISO 20022 messaging
- Proven commercial acumen with experience managing pricing and P&L responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and risk frameworks (AML, KYC, PSD2, etc.) and experience working within regulated environments
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to balance client needs with compliance and technical considerations
- A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
- Exposure to Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) or embedded finance ecosystems
- Experience with treasury services, ERP, or payment platform integrations
- Background in developer-centric product management or API design
