Summary: The Procurement & Supply Chain Manager (Bids) role in Fareham involves leading procurement strategies and managing supply chain operations for bids. Key Responsibilities:
- Active member of the bid senior leadership team, ensuring P&SC priorities are represented.
- Engage with stakeholders to develop robust procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with teams to build statements of requirements and solutions for RFP/RFQ/tendering processes.
- Conduct market analysis to identify suitable supply chain partners.
- Investigate current supply chain provisions and implement best practices.
- Secure long-term contracts with key suppliers for value generation.
- Contribute to governance reviews and present supply chain solutions.
- Develop supplier relationship management strategy and conduct regular meetings.
- Maintain a risk register to manage P&SC risks.
- Create sustainable value by improving quality, service, and compliance while reducing costs.
- Provide leadership and education on P&SC practices to operational teams.
- Deliver resilience and best practice sharing across the Land Training business.
- Implement Group / Land P&SC strategy and objectives.
- Travel to operational sites and team meetings across the UK as required.
Key Skills:
- Extensive commercial and contracts acumen.
- Experience in commercial or contract management roles.
- Extensive procurement experience from sourcing to contract placement.
- Multi-stakeholder management experience.
- Supplier performance management experience.
- Experience in large organizations with category managed spend.
- SC clearance or eligibility for it.
