Summary: The role of Principal Test Engineer requires extensive experience at a senior leadership level, particularly in Quality Assurance. Candidates will lead a team of test engineers and develop organizational test strategies within complex agile environments. The position is hybrid, necessitating travel to London, and requires security clearance. The role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining organizational level networks and engaging with senior leaders.
- Leading a technical service or team of test engineers.
- Developing test approaches for Quality Engineering, CI/CD, and release management.
- Implementing cloud services, microservice architecture, and performance quality engineering.
- Setting strategic direction for test automation frameworks and infrastructure.
- Designing and improving test engineering capabilities to support QAT strategies.
- Selecting and deploying a range of tools and engineering techniques, including open-source technologies.
Key Skills:
- Experience at senior leadership level in Test Engineering.
- Strong understanding of cloud services and microservice architecture.
- Proficiency in CI/CD and agile methodologies.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and infrastructure management.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns and programming languages such as Java, TS/JS, and Python.
- Experience with AI in QAT activities and Data Science.
- SFIA Framework skill levels: Strategic Planning (Level 5), Test Analysis (Level 4), Automation (Level 5), Performance Testing (Level 4).
