Summary: The Principal HVAC Engineer will serve as the primary contact for HVAC-related issues at the client's site in Stockton-on-Tees, overseeing various aspects of HVAC management during manufacture, construction, and commissioning. This role involves liaising with the Responsible Designer, managing technical queries, and ensuring compliance with design intent. The engineer will also advise on installation methods and participate in design reviews to maintain the integrity of the HVAC design documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide site-based focal point for HVAC issues during manufacture, construction, and commissioning.
- Review and respond to site-generated and supplier technical queries, concession requests, and commissioning reservations.
- Manage HVAC instructed changes on site or via the Responsible Designer.
- Manage drawing configuration for HVAC deliverables through the redline process.
- Interface with Design Lead Engineers, Package Managers, Section Engineers, Quality, Commissioning, and Handover teams.
- Maintain the configured HVAC design.
- Advise Construction on installation methods and constructability.
- Participate in constructability design reviews.
- Act as custodian of design & engineering documentation on site.
