The Role

As a Supply Teacher, you will work across various mainstream settings, delivering high-quality lessons in EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2. This role is perfect for educators who enjoy variety and want to focus on the pure joy of teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver: Lead engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Adapt: Tailor your teaching style to meet the diverse needs of pupils within different mainstream classrooms.
• Manage: Maintain effective classroom management following the school’s specific behavior policies.
• Communicate: Provide clear feedback to the permanent class teacher regarding pupil progress.
• Support: Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (Essential).
• Proven experience teaching within a UK Primary School setting.
• A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build quick rapport.
• Flexibility and the ability to travel across the Kirklees local authority.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
