Summary: This role involves leading the strategic pricing transformation and framework development within a company, integrating actuarial science with technology. The Pricing Actuary will work closely with underwriting and development teams to create advanced pricing solutions. The position requires a blend of technical skills and actuarial expertise to ensure accurate pricing models and tools. This is a fixed-term contract position based in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration and development of pricing models into a modern platform (Hx Renew), ensuring accuracy and providing user support.
- Develop, maintain, and review rating tools and technical pricing models for assigned business classes.
- Contribute to the Pricing Framework, support the Actuarial Function Report, and align with group-wide pricing approaches.
- Provide ad-hoc technical pricing support to underwriters and collaborate with reserving, capital, and risk teams.
Key Skills:
- Qualified or nearly-qualified actuary with experience in general insurance pricing.
- Proven ability to develop technical pricing models and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Python is highly desirable; experience with Hx Renew, Power BI, or other programming languages (C#, SQL, VBA, R) is beneficial.
