Overview:

We've been a recruitment partner with our client for over 11 years, they re a highly respected and innovative Global Telecoms provider and previous winners of The Times Top 100 companies to work for. They're now seeking an experienced Interim Cisco Security & Network pre-sales consultant for 12-24 months.

About the Role:

As a Network and Security Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant, you will be at the forefront of positioning our clients Enterprise Solutions and Services Portfolio to their existing Customers and new prospects by applying a consultative selling approach. Engage and build effective relationships with their customers to assist them to realise their cloud and workspace transformation strategy, by designing and articulating cutting-edge solutions.

The Role will require continual review of our clients technical solutions, develop services and recommend new technologies to ensure their Portfolio remains applicable to the requirements of our clients customers.

Key Accountability:

  • Recommendation of Security and Network Technologies, Services and Partners; growing and continually improving our clients portfolio
  • Identification of new opportunities
  • Valuable contribution to our clients ongoing security Go to Market campaigns
  • Lead technology contributor to customer opportunities, prospecting and engagements
  • Lead Security Solution Architecture for the design and technical proposals of Customer Solutions
  • Lead technical contributor for customer opportunity negotiations
  • Technology interface for the development of security and network services

Must have skills:

Sales Experience - working closely with other design engineers/management/sales personnel to co-ordinate and close sales opportunities

A specific skill set designing and implementing Network (primarily Cisco) and Security (Firewall) solutions is key.

  1. Patience - this role is not always fast paced, therefore there may be a mix of things they get involved in outside of the pre-sales role. Also, as the role will work closely with a non-technical sales team, this can be frustrating so will need to be able to handle them and manage their expectations
  2. Flexibility to assist in sales opportunities for other technologies, this will require the candidate to pick up other skills whilst working in this role to assist in sales that may not be their strongest skill set
  3. There is no specific requirement to be on island all of the time, a flexible rota can be agreed
  4. Have a strong positive attitude and good customer facing skills
  5. Clear ability to articulate technology benefits across all levels of business audiences (IT to CEO)
  6. Ability to generate opportunities
  7. Must be enthusiastic, action oriented, capable of independently solving complex technical problems and able to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences

Personal requirements:

Willing to be on the island Monday to Friday for the first two months. We currently have a team of 10 Interims on the island in different roles and everyone's personal situations are different, some people head back to the UK every 3-4 weeks, others stay for longer and others make a semi permanent home on the island. The role will become hybrid after a couple of months.

The role is OUTSIDE IR35 due to the position being out of the UK
