Summary: The Polaris Business Analyst role at Legal & General involves supporting significant technology transformation initiatives across various divisions. The position requires collaboration with senior stakeholders to define requirements, facilitate workshops, and manage project deliverables. Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery activities to define Problem Statements and elicit requirements/user stories.
  • Deriving and defining business requirements and driving problem resolutions through fact-finding for requirement gathering.
  • Supporting Sub-Workstream Delivery Leads in developing mandates for new initiatives and navigating the L-gate approval process.
  • Providing expert counsel to structure vision and ideas, conducting feasibility studies for business cases.
  • Managing and influencing senior stakeholder alignment and communication across multiple business areas.
  • Scoping and shaping the analysis approach while identifying best practice opportunities.
  • Capturing and documenting Target Operating Models using various business analysis techniques.
  • Documenting requirements in Jira and managing backlog items with the wider team.

Key Skills:

  • Business analysis qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • Understanding of agile frameworks and backlog definition techniques.
  • Familiarity with customer-centric design techniques.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office.
  • Understanding of contemporary technology infrastructure (cloud, service-based architecture, data management).
  • Experience in business analysis, preferably in financial or technology sectors.
  • Experience with multiple software delivery methodologies (Agile Scrum, Waterfall).
