Summary: The PMO Lead role is a 6-month contract position requiring SC clearance, focused on providing governance and assurance within a Technology Delivery function for a leading Government Institution. The position involves driving process optimization and maturity improvements within the PMO function while managing stakeholder relationships effectively. The role is based in Milton Keynes, with an expectation of being on-site up to three days a week. The contract is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide governance and assurance across all delivery within the Technology Delivery function.
- Drive process optimization and maturity improvements across the PMO function.
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Analyze and improve high-quality programme RAID artefacts for senior stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Significant experience in Project Delivery/Project Management Office environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Productivity Tools (MSProject, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Ability to create and maintain project dashboards.
- Experience with Joiners/Movers/Leavers processes and delivering projects to Government.
- Project Management background and experience in migration to SharePoint.

The role:
A leading Government Institution are seeking a PMO Lead (SC Cleared), to work within a Technology Delivery function, helping to provide governance and assurance across all delivery. PMO lead will also play a major role in the maturity of the PMO function.
6-month initial contract, Inside IR35 - SC Cleared role.
Essential Experience Requirements:
- Significant experience working within Project Delivery/Project Management Office environments
- Able to drive process optimisation and maturity improvements across the PMO function.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to communicate & collaborate with others effectively
- Working use of Microsoft Productivity Tools - MSPol, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint
- Ability to analyse and continually improve high quality programme RAID artefacts, including delivery to senior stakeholders
Desirable:
- Creating & maintaining project dashboards
- Experience of working with Joiners / Movers / Leavers processes
- Experience of delivering projects/programmes to Government
- Project Management background
- Migration to SharePoint
