Job Description

We’re looking for a PMO Lead contractor to join us on-a 6-month basis. This role is critical to lead and empower the PMO team at CityFibre, driving impactful change across four key portfolios while supporting senior leaders and ensuring smooth, successful project delivery.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead with impact by guiding the PMO for CityFibre’s Operational Change group, supporting four exciting portfolios—from innovative products to brilliant basics
• Bring clarity and confidence by creating clear, executive-level reporting on project progress, risks, and interdependencies, helping everyone stay aligned and informed
• Collaborate and empower teams and stakeholders, ensuring projects are well-governed, delivered on time, and supported by strong business cases
• Champion best practices in portfolio and project management, using tools like MS Project and PPM software to keep everything running smoothly
• Inspire positive change by using data and insight to drive improvements, support benefit realisation, and help shape a culture of continuous growth and excellence

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Strong leadership and coordination skills to guide cross-functional teams and ensure smooth delivery across multiple portfolios.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to turn complex data into clear insights, helping stakeholders make confident decisions
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a natural flair for building relationships and influencing outcomes.
• Experience in project and portfolio management, ideally with tools like MS Project or PPM software, and a passion for driving change.
• A continuous improvement attitude, always looking for ways to enhance processes, support teams, and deliver meaningful results.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Project and portfolio management expertise, with hands-on experience using tools like MS Project or PPM software to keep things organised and on track
• Confident communicator and collaborator, able to work across teams and with external partners to bring people together and drive progress
• Strong analytical and planning skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights and make informed decisions that support business goals
• A keen eye for governance and control, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business cases and objectives
• Experience in change and improvement delivery, ideally in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, with a passion for creating better ways of working
