Summary: This role is for a Planning & Resource Manager based in Edinburgh, requiring a highly organized professional to lead planning and resource management processes within a major transformation programme. The position involves delivering accurate forecasts and insightful reports to support decision-making in a complex environment. The contract is for 6 months with the potential for extension, and the role requires on-site presence two days a week. The salary offered is up to £80k per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning and developing the programme plan across multiple workstreams
- Tracking dependencies, milestones, and critical paths with precision
- Implementing and optimising planning tools such as MS Project, Clarity, or Planview
- Collaborating across the PMO and transformation teams to shape a newly established planning ecosystem
Key Skills:
- Exceptional Project Planning experience of a similar level
- Strong experience in Financial Services
- Fluent in planning frameworks, governance, tooling, and MI reporting
- Excellent stakeholder and third-party engagement experience (Forums, SteerCos, etc.)
- Analytical thinker with strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

You'll be working on a major transformation programme, helping to bring structure and clarity to a fast-moving and complex environment.
You'll take the lead in setting up strong planning and resource management processes. You'll deliver accurate forecasts, insightful reports, and clear management information that supports decision-making across the organisation.
