Summary: This role is for a Payroll Transformation & Audit Lead in the Aerospace industry, focusing on overseeing payroll procedures and ensuring compliance with UK legislation. The position offers the potential for an interim to permanent transition and involves auditing payroll providers, managing payroll transformation projects, and improving payroll accuracy. The candidate will act as a liaison between operational managers and payroll providers while driving process changes and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit external payroll providers for compliance with UK legislation, HMRC, RTI, and other regulatory bodies.
• Audit pension schemes for compliance, including auto-enrolment and salary sacrifice impacts.
• Create and maintain SOPs and payroll documentation for end-to-end payroll processing.
• Act as the main contact between operational managers and payroll providers.
• Improve payroll accuracy and deliver cost savings by reducing third-party queries.
• Audit Time & Attendance data for correct processing of hours and absences.
• Lead payroll transformation programs to optimise efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure year-end submissions are accurate and compliant.
• Collaborate with Finance for monthly payroll approvals and fund release.
• Implement process change and automation, identifying technologies for lean solutions.
