Key Responsibilities:

• Support the payroll manager in delivering payroll services for 15,000 employees.
• Ensure data consistency and integrity within SAP and other systems, adhering to GDPR.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for payroll processes.
• Conduct user acceptance testing of payroll system upgrades and legislative updates.
• Liaise with the systems development team for configuration changes and perform user testing.
• Perform monthly and annual payroll reporting, reconciliation, and payment generation.
• Deputise for the payroll manager and assist the admin team with queries.
• Regularly reconcile the Government Gateway Dashboard to minimize financial risks.
• Maintain payroll expertise to provide support and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Manage onboarding of new payroll business into the council's payroll system.
