OSS Architect

Summary: The OSS Architect role involves designing and leading the implementation of OSS solutions for Fixed and Mobile converged networks. This hybrid position requires on-site presence in Newbury for three days a week or as needed, with an immediate start date preferred in May 2025. The architect will translate business and network requirements into robust OSS architecture frameworks to ensure operational excellence. This opportunity is with a leading global consultancy specializing in Digital, IT, and Network Services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business and network requirements into OSS architecture frameworks.
• Design end-to-end OSS architecture for converged fixed and mobile networks.
• Develop high-level and detailed OSS solution designs including inventory, service fulfillment, assurance, and orchestration layers.
• Collaborate with BSS, network engineering, and IT teams for system integration.
• Lead OSS transformation initiatives including legacy modernization and cloud migration.
• Ensure compliance with TM Forum frameworks and industry standards.
• Define architecture patterns for automation and AI/ML-driven operations.
• Evaluate and integrate COTS OSS solutions and custom platforms.

Key Skills:

• Experience in OSS architecture with Fixed and Mobile networks.
• Knowledge of network technologies: IP/MPLS, 5G/4G RAN, GPON, DOCSIS, VoIP, IMS.
• Expertise in OSS domains: service assurance, fulfillment, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with SDN/NFV, cloud-native architectures, and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of TM Forum standards, Open APIs, and ITIL frameworks.
• Ability to define architecture patterns for automation and closed-loop assurance.
• Experience in leading OSS transformation and modernization initiatives.
