Automation Test Engineer - SC Cleared

Summary: The Automation Test Consultant role requires a hands-on Test Automation Lead with expertise in UI/API testing and automation frameworks. The position involves driving quality assurance across multiple teams in a hybrid working environment, providing technical leadership, and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. The consultant will also be responsible for integrating tests with CI/CD processes and supporting Agile methodologies. SC clearance eligibility is required due to the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain UI/API test frameworks (Java, Selenium, Rest Assured, Cypress, Playwright).
• Perform manual and automated testing (Postman, Insomnia, K6, JMeter).
• Integrate tests with CI/CD (Docker, Jenkins, GitLab) and support BDD/TDD (Cucumber, TestNG).
• Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG using axe, WAVE, ARC).
• Lead test traceability, defect tracking, and stakeholder reporting.
• Provide technical guidance to test engineers across teams.
• Support transition, knowledge transfer, and documentation.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of continuous UK residency (SC Clearance eligible).
