Interim Operating Model Consultant - Counter Terrorism Policing

Pay Rate: 426.57 per day PAYE

Hours per week: 36 Monday Friday, normal working hours

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 6 months

City: West Brompton, London

Minimum SC Clearance. Candidates must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting Security Check (enhanced) SC level.

Hybrid working

The Operating Model Consultant will be responsible for conducting analysis into various components of CTP s operating model that have been identified as requiring change, identifying organisational problem and opportunities, and defining appropriate solutions. The Operating Model Consultant will design these changes using industry standard methodology across all level of detail from conceptual design to physical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify organisational problems and opportunities, and determine the impact of these on CTP s existing operating model.
• Develop evidence based solution options with associated assessment criteria to mitigate these problems and opportunities.
• Design operating model changes from conceptual to physical across all components (e.g. People, Process, Organisation. Governance, Culture etc.).
• Support the translation of complex organisational problems and solutions into simple compelling narratives that achieve broad business consensus.
• Lead in the organisation of workshops, stakeholder engagement and other relevant meetings and boards.

Qualifications:

1. Prince 2 qualification.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
• Experience in developing Business Operating Models, and an understanding of the value that they add to an organisation
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis to support evidence-based decision-making and risk management
• Experience of undertaking analytical activity using formal methodologies and approaches, including collecting and analysing complex or incomplete data in order to provide concise and meaningful recommendations
• Solutions-oriented, innovative, forward-thinking approach to complex challenges
• Experience of building confidence with various stakeholders, managing expectations and dealing with conflicting requirements and priorities
• Experience of working within a challenging, change driven environment, with experience of working with various stakeholders within a large organisation including managing expectations and dealing with conflicting requirements and priorities
• Experience of working within Project Management delivery approaches (i.e. PRINCE2, Agile) and an understanding of change delivery methodologies and approaches
• An interest in working in an environment that helps shape the Counter Terrorism landscape
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
