Summary: The Network Test Engineer role involves creating and executing test scripts for network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. The position requires a strong understanding of various test phases and practical skills in handling network equipment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create test scripts from Test Plans / Low Level Designs for Network infrastructure (Routers / switches / firewalls)
  • Understand Test phases purposes: Unit, System Integration, Functional, Non-Functional, Disaster recovery, Operation Acceptance
  • Import test cases to ALM and link to requirements
  • Collect Test execution evidence, Reporting execution / defect in ALM
  • Set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing
  • Network and Service Management tool set (e.g. StableNet)

Key Skills:

  • Test Analyst skills
  • Practical skills in Cisco Switch / Router console commands
  • Handling Fibre optic cables
  • Understanding of Data Centre operating procedures

You will need to either have live SC clearance, or be eligible.
