Summary: The Network Test and Automation Engineer role at FDM involves working within the telecoms sector on a hybrid basis in Bradford. Key Responsibilities:

• Create test plans and test cases based on specifications/requirements from the project team
• Execute various types of testing including system, regression, and performance testing
• Analyze and document software defects, collaborating with the development team to troubleshoot and fix issues
• Follow agile processes and utilize JIRA/Confluence for recording tests and results

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Cisco devices and networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• In-depth understanding of L2/L3 protocols and their implementation
• Experience with traffic generation tools such as IXIA and Spirent
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell
• Solid understanding of programming concepts
• Software build experience/knowledge of software frameworks with Python and Java
• Experience developing and working with Restful APIs
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Good understanding of Agile processes
