Summary: The Network Technical Architect will oversee the design and implementation of network solutions for a 12-month contract in Bristol, working closely with project teams to ensure alignment with business requirements and governance processes. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver secure network solutions. The position necessitates security clearance and experience in network architecture, particularly within secure environments. The working arrangement is hybrid, requiring two days in the office each week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight and guidance for network solutions delivered within the Programme working with internal teams and 3rd party suppliers.
• Understand business requirements and work within a team of architects to deliver solutions that meet the business requirements, focusing on the network elements of the solution.
• Work with the Programme Lead Architect to ensure that network solutions are aligned to current and emerging enterprise patterns and standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on networking best practices.
• Ensure that governance processes relating to the network architecture are followed.

Key Skills:

• Demonstrable network architecture experience, ideally within the defence sector (or a secure environment).
• Experienced in the architecture, design, build and operation of network solutions including WAN, LAN, datacentre and network technologies in secure environments.
• Experienced working with 3rd party suppliers and ensuring that solutions delivered align with architecture standards and policies.
• Experienced in network security including NDR, EDR, XDR, Firewalls, crypto devices and NAC.
• An understanding of the MOD Secure by Design approach would be beneficial.
• Experience of working in a complex business environment working with multiple stakeholders and teams.
