Key Responsibilities:
- Work onsite 5 days a week in either Kidlington or Southampton.
- Manage network infrastructure, specifically with Cisco Routers and Switches.
- Demonstrate ticket management, prioritisation, change management, and project delivery.
- Communicate technical designs and principles to non-technical audiences.
- Travel across multiple locations as required.
Key Skills:
- Good understanding of network infrastructure including voice.
- Experience as a Network Administrator/Engineer with Cisco Routers and Switches.
- Detailed understanding of Networking protocols and standards.
- Recognised IT Networking qualifications, specifically CCNA/CCNP (or higher).
- Experience with essential networking tools and products.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full UK drivers licence.

We are supporting our public sector client with the recruitment of a Senior Network Engineer with SC Clearance.
The role is required to be onsite 5 days per week in either Kidlington or Southampton, is outside IR35 and can pay up to £450 per day. The role will be until Decemeber 2026 so an excellent duration.
These roles require candidates with extensive experience as a Network Engineer, specifically with recent experience working with Cisco Routers & switchers.
Skills required:
- Good understanding of network infrastructure including voice
- Recently undertaken a role as a Network Administrator/Engineer role working with Cisco Routers and Switches
- Detailed understanding of Networking protocols and standards.
- Ability to demonstrate ticket management, prioritisation, change management, project delivery and working with large scale service providers
- Hold recognised IT Networking qualifications, specifically CCNA/CCNP (or higher) qualification
- Experience with the Tools/suite of tools essential to this role -
- Experience of SD-WAN migrations (preferred but not essential)
- Hands on experience of Fortinet products (preferred but not essential)
