Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven hands-on network engineering experience. Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS, Wireless, SilverPeak, etc.). Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS). Familiarity with access control models and network security. Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cacti). Strong knowledge of network hardware (Cisco Wired and Wireless devices, SilverPeak, OpenGear ). CCNP or higher (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification is a must.
