Summary: The role of Network Deployment Engineer involves working as part of a team on a significant Cyber Project for a large government client. Key Responsibilities:
- Remote configuration of hardware under the direction of a team lead.
- Build, configure, and harden Juniper switches according to build guides.
- Build and configure Gigamon physical devices and connect/onboard to Gigavue FM Management server.
- Work on network projects, preferably with Cisco, to implement hardware at customer sites.
- Develop positive working relationships with other project teams.
- Communicate clearly with peers, management, and customers.
- Pay excellent attention to detail.
- Support large government customers.
- Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude.
- Implement solutions with minimal supervision and report issues and recommendations.
- Visit customer sites to install hardware within racks.
- Provide remote support of hardware during customer testing.
- Update the PM and team lead regarding progress.
- Engage with service teams to ensure new hardware is effectively supported.
- Be flexible with working hours as some implementations may occur outside normal hours.
