Summary: The Network Architect role requires a DV cleared professional to deliver strategic network designs for a central government agency through a global IT consultancy. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic network delivery of design artifacts in alignment with project schedule.
- Enterprise, Local IT & Other Government Department (OGD) System Owner engagement.
- Strong technical background with understanding of end-to-end system design and dependencies.
- Understanding of system delivery lifecycle through Service Design, Service Transition, Service Acceptance and Live Service.
- Requirements analysis and ability to develop technical solutions in response.
- Impact Analysis and ability to understand the impact of certain technical decisions.
- Stakeholder relationships and technical management.
- Team Lead the network and other technical aspects of the Programme.
Key Skills:
- DV clearance and UK Sole National.
- Strong technical background in network architecture and design.
- Experience with passive and active infrastructure design.
- Understanding of end-user device dependencies and data encryption.

You will join a global IT consultancy who are delivering digital transformation to a central government agency.
The role:
- Strategic network delivery of design artifacts in alignment with project schedule. Artefacts include, but not limited to: Site specific network design (HLD/LLD) Passive infrastructure design and laydown System specific active equipment installation design Rack layouts Patching schedules
- Enterprise, Local IT & Other Government Department (OGD) System Owner engagement to ensure alignment of proposed system implementation.
- Strong technical background with understanding of end-to-end system design and dependencies. Network Architecture & Design Network Implementation Passive (fibre & copper, vertical (backbone) & horizontal) infrastructure design LANs & WANs WAN circuit dependencies and provisioning Data Encryption (cryptos) End User Device (EUD), computer storage, etc dependencies upon network infrastructure. Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
- Understanding of system delivery lifecycle through Service Design, Service Transition, Service Acceptance and Live Service Working collaboratively with Service Architects on Service Assurance and Service Gate Reviews.
- Requirements analysis and ability to develop technical solutions in response.
- Impact Analysis and ability to understand the impact of certain technical decisions, internally and externally. Understand Dependencies, Assumptions, Issues & Risks. Understand impact on costs and schedules.
- Stakeholder (Internal & External) relationships and technical management: On-site contractors, project team and Agency suppliers.
- Team Lead the network and other technical aspects of the Programme Primary technical (network and certain other technical aspects) Point of Contact (PoC) Provide technical guidance, governance and assurance Teach and develop junior / less experienced project team members to streamline delivery
