Migration Project Manager

Summary: The Migration Project Manager will oversee a portfolio of migration projects, ensuring they meet contracted time, quality, and budget requirements. This client-facing role involves managing a distributed team of migration SMEs and requires strong planning and leadership skills. The position supports the Global Head of Migrations and involves risk management throughout the project life cycle. The role also emphasizes continuous improvement and stakeholder management at senior levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of migration projects through the full project life cycle, from initiation to implementation.
• Develop and maintain an end-to-end portfolio plan that meets project scope, time, budget, and quality criteria.
• Collaborate with Migration SMEs to estimate work effort required for project scope delivery.
• Provide accurate project MI and reporting to the Global Head of Migrations.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the project life cycle.
• Facilitate migration operational readiness planning and communicate with stakeholders for dependency management.
• Lead and motivate a virtual team across multiple locations, ensuring accountability for delivery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices within the PM community.

Key Skills:

• Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience managing stakeholders at executive levels.
• PMP, PRINCE 2 or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Expert in Microsoft Project.
• Previous experience in large scale data or asset migration projects and data modelling preferred.
• Technically hands-on with business change/market understanding of the End-to-End migration process in Life and Pensions settings.
• Client management and stakeholder management skills.
