Summary: The MEP Design Manager will oversee the delivery of coordinated MEP design across various disciplines, ensuring quality and alignment with project requirements. This role involves managing teams, facilitating coordination between disciplines, and liaising with clients and stakeholders. The position is a 12-month contract with a requirement to be on-site once a week in Somerset. The role is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all MEP drawings/models
  • Ensure consistency in drawing standards, layering, symbols and output formatting
  • Monitor drawing progress against the programme
  • Facilitate coordination between different MEP disciplines and Architectural and Structural teams
  • Use BIM platforms for clash detection and resolution
  • Lead internal coordination workshops
  • Manage discipline leads and their drafting/engineering teams
  • Assign priorities, check workloads and resolve bottlenecks
  • Review and approve drawings/models before issues
  • Act as the design-side counterpart to the clients Project Manager
  • Attend design coordination meetings
  • Report on design progress, issues and risks
  • Implement drawing production standards, QA checks and compliance

Key Skills:

  • Experience in MEP design management

MEP Design Manager | 12 Month Contract | 1x per week in Somerset

I am currently on the lookout for an individual who can manage the delivery of coordinated MEP design (Drawings, Models, Schedules) across all disciplines, ensuring quality, accuracy and alignment with project requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all MEP drawings/models
  • Ensure consistency in drawing standards, layering, symbols and output formatting
  • monitor drawing progress against the programme

Coordination

  • Facilitate coordination between different MEP disciplines and Architectural and Structrual teams
