Summary: The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee the mechanical aspects of a live hospital project, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery. This role requires an experienced professional to manage installation and commissioning processes while coordinating with various stakeholders. The position is contract-based for 7-9 months with an immediate start. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining health and safety standards and providing regular updates to senior management and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the mechanical installation and commissioning processes.
• Ensure project milestones are met within budget and on schedule.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor and enforce health & safety standards in accordance with industry regulations.
• Liaise with hospital stakeholders to minimise disruption and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage procurement of mechanical materials and equipment.
• Provide regular project updates to senior management and clients.
• Address and resolve any site issues promptly to avoid delays.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the construction industry.
• Previous experience working on hospital or healthcare projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services (HVAC, plumbing, medical gases, etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a live healthcare environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• CSCS, SMSTS, and relevant mechanical qualifications.
