Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role in Surrey involves supporting the development of new vehicle models and creating processes to ensure quality in manufacturing. The position requires collaboration with design and engineering teams to optimize production efficiency and resolve bottlenecks. This is a 12-month contract position with a focus on implementing best practices in vehicle assembly. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with concept design and engineering teams to develop and create processes for new model introductions
- Lead the creation of vehicle assembly concepts, from virtual environment to physical validation and delivery
- Develop and document process sequencing and product traceability methodologies
- Drive the implementation of best practices to improve production efficiency and quality
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks through line balancing and facility layout optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in concept/design reviews and engineering release deliveries
Key Skills:
- Experience in planning and execution of new vehicle programs
- Strong understanding of complex vehicle systems and assembly processes
- Familiarity with end-of-line vehicle processing/finishing and assembly equipment procurement
- Ability to identify and resolve product-related issues in a timely manner
