An automotive component manufacturer with multiple sites in the UK and the West Midlands require a Manufacturing Engineer to provide manufacturing engineering support to current production lines. The ideal candidate will have automotive manufacturing experience working with exterior or interior trim products.Commutable from: Redditch, Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Worcester, Kidderminster, Stourbridge

Salary: £50,000 - £54,000 p.a. Duration: 18 months fixed term contract

The Role

Reporting into the Operations Manager you will have the following duties:

  • Plan and implement new products and changes to the manufacturing processes.
  • Manage suppliers.
  • Manage project and timing of complex assembly systems.
  • Support the quality department in close out of customer concerns through 8D.
  • Complete PFMEA's, process flows and standard operating instructions.
  • Generate layout and process flows.

The Person

Educated to degree level in a mechanical or manufacturing discipline or holding significant experience in first tier automotive, you will have the following experience:

  • Experience working in fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to manufacturing lines highly reliant on complex IT systems.
  • Experience in a just in time (JIT) environment.
