Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role is a 12-month contract position focused on implementing and improving manufacturing processes with a commitment to a 'Zero Defects' approach. The engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing process documentation and utilizing data to enhance operational efficiency. The position requires effective communication and a solid understanding of manufacturing systems and lean principles. Candidates will be contacted within two working days of application submission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take a 'Zero Defects' approach in all day to day activities.
  • Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
  • Create, maintain and/or govern elements which clearly define the manufacturing process and control them effectively.
  • Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve manufacturing processes.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified to HNC level in an Engineering subject or with experience.
  • Computer literate and able to communicate effectively at all levels on technical issues.
  • General awareness of Manufacturing Systems.
  • 'Lean Principles' understanding.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Ability to read technical drawings related to manufacturing/repair process.

Salary (Rate): £32.47 hourly

Location: Renfrew

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be doing:
