Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role is a 12-month contract focused on implementing and improving manufacturing processes with a commitment to a 'Zero Defects' approach. The position requires the development and governance of manufacturing processes while utilizing data analysis for continuous improvement. The role is based in Renfrewshire and involves effective communication on technical issues. Candidates will be contacted within two working days of application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take a 'Zero Defects' approach in all day-to-day activities.
- Develop, implement, validate, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
- Create, maintain, and/or govern elements that clearly define the manufacturing process and control them effectively.
- Capture, analyze, and use data to demonstrate and improve manufacturing processes.
Key Skills:
- Qualified to HNC level in an Engineering subject or with relevant experience.
- Computer literate and able to communicate effectively at all levels on technical issues.
- General awareness of Manufacturing Systems.
- Understanding of Lean Principles.
- Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Ability to read technical drawings related to manufacturing/repair processes.
