Summary: The Rail Strategy Lead / Campaign Advisor will play a crucial role in securing rail engineering projects in Ireland, primarily working with Irish Rail and Transport Infrastructure Ireland. This position involves developing client engagement strategies, maintaining key stakeholder relationships, and supporting procurement processes. The role is remote but requires occasional travel to Dublin for meetings. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in the railway sector and strong technical knowledge of various rail systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to identify business challenges and solutions.
- Provide market knowledge and competitive analysis to capture business development opportunities.
- Develop client engagement strategies and support procurement processes.
- Review and support bids for rail engineering projects.
- Engage with stakeholders at Irish Rail and understand their structure and power bases.
- Utilize project management software, CRM, proposal software, and presentation tools.
Key Skills:
- Experience working with key stakeholders at Irish Rail.
- In-depth knowledge of railway systems including telecoms, signalling, civils, E&P, ETCS/TMS, OLE/electrification, and track.
- Degree in engineering or equivalent, ideally chartered.
- Experience in work winning within the railway sector.
- Knowledge of major infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and CRM tools.
