Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role focuses on supporting a high-profile aircraft manufacturing project at a major Northwest UK site. The position requires troubleshooting technical issues, managing manufacturing processes, and ensuring operational targets are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve recurrent technical issues alongside production teams.
- Plan, control, and manage manufacturing processes to optimize performance and meet operational targets.
- Manage daily technical issues including missing parts, non-conformities, concession management, maintenance, and tools.
- Perform work order management for out-of-cycle work and escalate recurrent issues when necessary.
- Support capacity management to adapt to product lifecycle changes and team needs.
Key Skills:
- Significant manufacturing engineering experience; aviation sector preferred, but candidates from large/global manufacturing backgrounds also considered.
- Working knowledge in a technical manufacturing role.
- Vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ L4/HNC) or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
