Summary: The Manufacturing Bid Lead role at a world-class defence organization in Bolton involves leading the generation of manufacturing bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with industrial policies and competitive pricing. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the generation of costed manufacturing bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with business and commercial criteria.
- Analyze data to create quantifiable cost bases for bids and assess risks effectively.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to provide visibility on future bids.
- Support the New Business Team in identifying opportunities and developing winning strategies.
- Participate in functional and strategic change activities, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to aerospace industry regulations and standards throughout the bidding process.
- Utilize project management tools such as SAP and Primavera P6 for planning and scheduling.
Key Skills:
- Strong manufacturing or production background with experience in bid management.
- Proficient in generating costed proposals and understanding manufacturing processes.
- Commercial acumen with experience in cost modeling and financial analysis.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multi-functional teams.
