Summary: The Management Accountant role is a 6-month interim position based in Todmorden, requiring immediate availability or short notice. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse monthly operational results, collaborating with manufacturing and supply chain teams.

- Lead product costing reviews and oversee annual stock-take procedures.
- Provide financial support to engineering, supply chain, operations, and sales teams.
- Assist in pricing decisions and support capital expenditure investment appraisals.
- Handle ad-hoc financial duties as needed.
Key Skills:
- Qualified – CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
- Extensive post qualified experience.
- Good knowledge/experience in ERP Systems e.g. SAP.
- Strong Microsoft Excel/MS Office Suite experience.

Job Title – Management Accountant

Type – 6 Month Contract – Immediate start/Available at short notice
We're working with a fantastic engineering business who are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on an interim 6-month contract. This role does require someone who is either immediately available or available at short notice. The role will be based on site and in Todmorden, but successful candidates must have easy access to Rochdale as they will temporarily be based between this site.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Financial Performance & Operational Analysis: Prepare and analyse monthly operational results, collaborating with manufacturing and supply chain teams to explain purchasing price variances and production performance variances. Deliver actionable insights that support cost control, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Costing, Inventory & Master Data Management: Lead product costing reviews and updates across several European locations. Oversee annual stock-take procedures and booking adjustments and ensure appropriate SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete) provisions in coordination with the Planning team.
- Cross-Functional Financial Support & Business Partnering: Provide financial support to engineering, supply chain, operations, and sales teams. Assist in pricing decisions with detailed costing analysis, support capital expenditure (capex) investment appraisals, and contribute to working capital improvement initiatives. Handle ad-hoc financial duties as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified – CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
