Management Accountant

You’ll be working alongside a lean but capable finance team, including junior support, and reporting into a qualified and very hands-on senior finance leader.

About You: Has strong experience in a service-based industry (QBE or part-qualified welcome) Knows QuickBooks inside and out (ideally Advanced level) Is confident managing the detail, coding, reconciling, batching, matching the whole lot Understands management accounts, cash flow, credit control, intercompany transactions Can oversee payroll processes (liaising with external providers, checking reports, preparing journals, not running it yourself Has excellent attention to detail, you're the one who spots what others miss Communicates well, clear, professional, good written and spoken English Is confident enough to challenge or suggest improvements when needed You don’t need micromanagement. You know when to ask, when to get on with it, and when to raise the flag.

The Role: You’ll be fully embedded in the commercial engine of the business. Expect variety and pace. Producing and supporting management accounts Managing customer billing and cash flow Overseeing payroll processes and reviewing monthly payroll reports Handling credit control and intercompany transactions Coding every invoice accurately to the right client/project Reconciling accounts and checking financial data is watertight Supporting and potentially managing junior finance staff Attending internal meetings to support operational and finance functions Contributing to systems and process improvements This is a new role, not a replacement. It exists because the business is growing and there’s a clear need for more horsepower at the mid-senior finance level.
