Key Responsibilities:
- Producing and supporting management accounts
- Managing customer billing and cash flow
- Overseeing payroll processes and reviewing monthly payroll reports
- Handling credit control and intercompany transactions
- Coding every invoice accurately to the right client/project
- Reconciling accounts and checking financial data is watertight
- Supporting and potentially managing junior finance staff
- Attending internal meetings to support operational and finance functions
- Contributing to systems and process improvements
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in a service-based industry (QBE or part-qualified welcome)
- Proficient in QuickBooks (ideally Advanced level)
- Ability to manage detail, coding, reconciling, batching, and matching
- Understanding of management accounts, cash flow, credit control, intercompany transactions
- Ability to oversee payroll processes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken

About You: Has strong experience in a service-based industry (QBE or part-qualified welcome) Knows QuickBooks inside and out (ideally Advanced level) Is confident managing the detail, coding, reconciling, batching, matching the whole lot Understands management accounts, cash flow, credit control, intercompany transactions Can oversee payroll processes (liaising with external providers, checking reports, preparing journals, not running it yourself Has excellent attention to detail, you're the one who spots what others miss Communicates well, clear, professional, good written and spoken English Is confident enough to challenge or suggest improvements when needed You don’t need micromanagement. You know when to ask, when to get on with it, and when to raise the flag.
