Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Cash Book and Petty Cash.
- Overseeing the work of the Resources Administrator on financial ledgers.
- Supporting with internal and external audits.
- Carrying out financial analysis to support planning and compliance.
- Assisting in the implementation of a new accounting system.
- Managing finance-related admin related to a school lease.
- Ensuring compliance with the Academy Financial Handbook.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial controls.
- Good governance and confidentiality.
- Experience in school or public sector finance (desirable but not essential).

Salary: Hourly equivalent of £55,000 per annum pro rata to 2 days a week.
We are working in partnership with a West London school to recruit an experienced Management Accountant on a part-time, fixed-term basis. This role is required to support the finance function during a period of departmental transition, with a focus on management accounts while other team members concentrate on payroll and training.
The role requires someone confident and capable of working independently, with solid experience in school or public sector finance. You’ll need to be comfortable managing core accounting tasks and supporting strategic financial decisions.
