Summary: The Maintenance Technician role is a 12-month contract position with a global leader in defence and aerospace. The technician will perform various maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairs, and installations on mechanically biased machines. The position requires collaboration with manufacturing engineers and adherence to control standards and procedures. Candidates must have completed an advanced engineering apprenticeship and possess relevant qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks
- Installations, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on mechanically biased machines
- Ability to perform alignment and geometry checks
- Utilise hand tools and test equipment to deliver customer requirements
- Coordinate workload and mechanical activities with customers
- Work with site Manufacturing Engineers to help understand and restore equipment
- Work to control standards and procedures
Key Skills:
- MUST HAVE completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship
- NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Good understanding of Maintenance operations and fault finding
- Basic IT literacy
- Ability to work to engineering drawings
