Summary: The Maintenance Assistant (Building) role involves maintaining planted and paved areas, roads, and drainage systems at Trust properties, ensuring high standards of grounds maintenance. The position requires assisting tradesmen and undertaking various maintenance tasks, including emergency repairs, while adhering to safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance of planted and paved areas, roads, and drainage systems.
- Ensure grounds are maintained to a high standard as part of a managed team.
- Assist building, mechanical, and electrical tradesmen as instructed.
- Undertake maintenance, repairs, and minor improvements across the Trust.
- Perform typical duties such as grass cutting, pruning, and drain clearance.
- Assist Building Craftspersons with construction and repair work.
- Work in hazardous areas while following safety measures and risk assessments.
- Provide training and technical support to new Maintenance Assistants.
- Be available for overtime to carry out emergency repairs as required.
- Use relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines.
