Summary: The Divisional Data Analyst role is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract based in Harrogate, focusing on creating data workflows, visualizations, and business insights to enhance decision-making. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to simplify complex data concepts and provide actionable insights. The analyst will utilize tools like Tableau and Alteryx to develop dashboards and ETL pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and supporting the wider business. This role is integral to driving revenue growth and cost reduction through informed data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse large datasets and present clear insights to enhance decision-making.
  • Leverage dashboards, ETL pipelines, and curated data to generate actionable business insights that drive revenue growth and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly, visually appealing Tableau dashboards aligned with the group's style guide.
  • Use Alteryx to build ETL pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Integrate Alteryx with Snowflake to access curated data and develop new analytical use cases.
  • Share knowledge, support team projects, and assist with skill development.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to business users.
  • Peer review team members' work and offer constructive feedback.
  • Adhere to a rigorous peer review, QA, and UAT process for all workflows and dashboards.
  • Partner with stakeholders to present insights and advise on enhancing decision-making.

Key Skills:

  • Data visualisation experience with Tableau.
  • Proficient in creating dashboards using multiple datasources and layouts.
  • Data engineering experience with Alteryx or similar product.
  • Competent creating workflows with multiple connections and tools.
  • Competent in using Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit the audience.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex business processes.
  • Must have a full UK driving license.
  • Knowledge of programming languages e.g., SQL, Python – Desirable.
