Summary: The role is for an experienced Oracle ERP Database Administrator to support mission-critical systems for a state agency in Richmond, VA. This hybrid position requires local candidates and involves participation in an on-call support rotation. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with Oracle 19c and the ability to troubleshoot complex database environments. Immediate availability is preferred, and the role is outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Oracle 19c databases, including Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard (Physical Standby).
  • Manage RMAN backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity.
  • Perform data migration and maintenance using Oracle Data Pump utilities (Export/Import).
  • Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager and ASM (Automatic Storage Management) for system monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Support Linux-based database environments and troubleshoot system-level issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.

Position Overview
