Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest clinical standards in the management of Dermatology patients.
  • Share responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Dermatology Department.
  • Teach and train junior staff and medical students.
  • Ensure active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
  • Participate in departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit.
  • Attend meetings as needed and fulfill duties of the weekly timetable, including out-of-hours responsibilities.
  • Implement new ways of working to support the NHS Net Zero target.

Key Skills:

  • GMC Registration with a Full licence to Practice.
  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent qualification.
  • Wide experience in all aspects of Dermatology.
  • Experience in teaching (medical students, peers, MDT).
  • Experienced in Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance.
  • Desirable: Mohs/Surgical Fellowship and appropriate higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent).
  • Desirable: Attendance at appropriate training courses.
