Summary: The role of Locum Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist involves providing part-time mental health services for children and adolescents in Gwynedd and Anglesey, covering maternity leave for 12 months. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive child and adolescent mental health services.
• Assist in the development of services for complex mental health conditions.
• Engage in teaching and supervision of specialty doctors and the multi-disciplinary team.

• Contribute to the management roles within the team.
• Attend regular departmental meetings and undertake study leave.

Key Skills:

• GMC Registration.
• Specialist Registrar able to take up post within 3 months of completing CCST.
• Diagnosis and treatment of mental illness in children and adolescents.
• Effective time management skills.
• Experience in community CAMHS settings.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation (Children Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Approved training status and willingness to become an Approved Clinician.
• Ability to undertake local travel.
