Summary: The role of Liquidity Data & Analytics at HSBC involves supporting the Treasury Liquidity Analytics team in enhancing the internal liquidity framework by developing new methodologies for modeling liquidity risk drivers. The role is hybrid and is contracted until the end of September, with a focus on collaboration across various teams within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the enhancement of the internal liquidity framework by creating new methodologies to model liquidity risk drivers.
- Identify areas for improvement in current liquidity risk driver methodologies and develop enhancements or new models.
- Manage the implementation of technical solutions to support liquidity management decision-making.
- Create liquidity modeling capabilities in Python, leveraging machine learning.
- Perform data analysis and validate new methodologies.
- Work closely with business lines and regional liquidity teams to gain insights for modeling.
- Review existing liquidity risk modeling approaches and research industry practices.
- Develop proof of concept models and monitor results.
- Collaborate with technology teams to implement new models into central systems.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with visualization tools (Tableau and Superset).
- Proficient in database management and SQL.
- Expertise in business analysis and data analytics.
- Ability to query big data and perform data transformation.
- Understanding of key liquidity measures as per the Group Framework.
- Ability to work independently and manage offshore resources.
- Strong stakeholder influence and alignment skills.
- Experience in developing liquidity modeling capabilities in Python.
