Summary: The role of Linux Infra System & DevOps Engineer involves hands-on collaboration with the solution team to develop operational procedures for desktop provisioning and server functions in Birmingham. The candidate must adapt to changing requirements and possess extensive experience in various technologies, particularly in AWS and DevOps practices. The position requires SC/NppV3 clearance and includes responsibilities related to desktop management, system administration, and automation. Key Skills:

  • 15+ Years of experience
  • Hands on experience in Puppet Framework, Docker Framework and Environment Management
  • AWS: 5+ years' experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (eg EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS)
  • Expertise in provisioning infrastructure using Terraform, VMs with tools such as Vagrant
  • Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS environment
  • Strong Scripting (eg Shell, Python, Ruby, Perl, JAVA) and automation skills
  • Through knowledge of Jenkins and pipeline using groovy script
  • Windows and Linux system administration
  • Experience with system monitoring tools (eg Nagios)
  • Knowledge on security scanning tools (Nessus, Alient Vault)
