Key Responsibilities:
- Develop WhatsApp and SMS strategy for Lifecycle Marketing programs focused on onboarding, activation, and retention.
- Launch and improve multi-step messaging journeys across global markets.
- Integrate messaging campaigns into existing lifecycle stack (e.g., Braze, WhatsApp Business API).
- Develop and test mobile-first message content that is culturally tailored and aligned with customer needs.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations for messaging (e.g., GDPR, TCPA, WhatsApp guidelines).
- Use analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and report on important metrics (e.g., CTR, conversion, opt-out rates).
- Act as the subject matter expert on SMS and WhatsApp marketing best practices and train team members.
Key Skills:
- 4+ years of Lifecycle, CRM, or Mobile Marketing experience.
- 2+ years focused on WhatsApp, SMS, or related messaging platforms.
- Experience building, launching, and optimizing performance-driven messaging campaigns.
- Technical fluency with tools such as Braze, Twilio, or WhatsApp Business API.
- Working knowledge of customer data flows.
- Experience with regional compliance and privacy laws for SMS/WhatsApp marketing.
- Experience with AI tools (Jasper, Chat-GPT, Gemini, etc).

About The Role This is a 6-Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC). Remitly is looking for a contract Lifecycle Marketing Manager with expertise in WhatsApp and SMS messaging to help build global, mobile-first customer engagement over a 6-month period. This role will help scale our messaging programs to better serve our diverse international customer base with personalised communications. The role reports to our Senior CRM Lead and will be based in our London office (3 days a week onsite).
You Will
- Develop WhatsApp and SMS strategy for Remitly's Lifecycle Marketing programs during the contract term, with a focus on onboarding, activation, and retention.
- Launch and improve multi-step messaging journeys across global markets, collaborating with Lifecycle Marketing, Product Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams.
- Integrate messaging campaigns into our existing lifecycle stack (e.g., Braze, WhatsApp Business API).
- Develop and test mobile-first message content that is culturally tailored, concise, and aligned with customer needs.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international regulations for messaging (e.g., GDPR, TCPA, and WhatsApp guidelines).
- Use analytics to measure campaign effectiveness, report on important metrics (e.g., CTR, conversion, opt-out rates).
- Act as the team's go-to subject matter expert on SMS and WhatsApp marketing best practices throughout the contract period, and train other team members.
You Have
- 4+ years of Lifecycle, CRM, or Mobile Marketing experience, with 2+ years focused on WhatsApp, SMS, or related messaging platforms.
- Experience building, launching, and optimising performance-driven messaging campaigns for international or mobile-first audiences.
- Technical fluency with tools such as Braze, Twilio, or WhatsApp Business API, and a working knowledge of customer data flows.
- Experience with regional compliance and privacy laws for SMS/WhatsApp marketing.
- Experience with AI tools (Jasper, Chat-GPT, Gemini, etc)
